First time

Hi, these are my first attempt and I was just wandering if anyone wants to take a look and see what they think. They took 3 or 4 days to germinate with paper towells and they've been in the pots for about 3 days now. Im using cfl for now and plan to switch to some high output ones. I don't have a ph tool or plant food yet but will tomarrow. I was feeding them light ammounts of 18-24-16 because it was all I had but flushed them today to hopefully clean that out... I water them every other day and run the light about 21 hours a day but now im going to switch to 24 untill the flowering stage.

Do they look healthy or sick?

Move the light directly over the sprouts and keep it as close as you can. Especially with flouros you can almost put them so close they are touching your plants. Closer the better as far as I am concerned. If they have to reach for the light you are going to run into quite a few problems in the long run.

From the pics it looks to me like you are using Flouros that produce a lot of orange light. These lights are better suited for flowering stage. When the plant requires more light from the red area of the visible spectrum.

If this is the case I would strongly recommend getting some Blue spectrum lighting. Perhaps a Actinic bulb from the aquarium sector. These bulbs are high in the ultra violet or purple light from the visible spectrum to maximize the photosynthesis process.

I would also lay off the feeding until the plants are much more developed. I usually do not feed mine until the second or third week. When I do feed them I feed spairingly. For the veg stage you need to give them plenty of fresh air and as much natural sunlight as you can. This will help in the Hardening Off process for when you decide to switch to HPS for flower.

I take my plants outside just about every day and give them as much time in the sun as I can.

Pretty soon they will be too big...

First of all, congrats on your first grow. As you probably already know, this site is the *****!! You will get all the help you need as you see by the great response b4 mine. People here are willin to help.
It sounds like you did the right thing with the flush. As he said, you don't need to be forcin nutes at this early stage. Maybe around 4 to 5 weeks old start w/ nutes and then maybe use half of what is recommended. It is easy to add more if it looks like they need it. It ***** if you over do it. It's not as easy to resolve.

I have to explain that lol. I put the seeds in the dirt sideways for a day and then straitened them out

Less than an hour after posting the pictures the bent one straitened out. I aimed the light to pull it strait. Was shocked that it worked so quick though O_O.

I noticed one of my lights is blueish in tint and one is yellow. One is a 13w and one is a 14w. I have them about 4 inches away usually. Left them at 2 inches for the last few hours and the plant feels a tiny bit warm but not hot. One of them grew upwards and inwards towards its light. Almost like it is closing up to protect itself. Also noticed that whatever plant I put under the blueish light looks better and grows faster.

Is it normal for them to have a ton of little hairs on the stems? Do those go away when they become males or something?
