haha I have always wanted to use that!... alrighty.....[Puts the joint down]Hi everyone!

So about a week ago I was about to go sit in my car to go to work when I noticed a seed. It was actually a pretty big seed that looked remarkably strong and I knew it was a good ole' piece of Mary Jane's love spawn . It was really weird, though, cause I rarely ever get any bud that has seed in it and i don't remember recently smoking any that did. Another thing was that there should not have been a seed there anyway; I didn't smoke any weed in my car that day or day prior nor did put any weed near the drivers side of my car...

So I took that as a sign.

November 9th-15th, 2007

i have already been reading many books and notes about growing and also a lot from this forum. I also have been growing and cloning my tomato plant for quite sometime...so i know pretty much all the basics about botany and gardening.

So I took the seed and put it in a glass of tap water and left it in my closet for two days. I then put the seed about 1/3 inch deep in a little pot filled with soil and covered it with plastic wrap. About a week after that i moved some of the dirt away to see what was happening and noticed my little seed had grown and germinated, so i covered it back up. About two days later it started to sprout out of the dirt.

I went to walmart and bought a 23 H x 12 D x 24.5 W shelf with doors on the front ( pics will be added below soon. ) also bought (2)75 Watt grow lights (Florecent tube kind). Then put my little plant under the two lights.

Which brings us to today.

November 16th, 2007

Yesterday was it's first full day and night under the florescent lights and my plant is definatley growing quickly. the first two blades are obviously showing well and two more little leaves are growing out of the top of the stem now. ...I am very excited.....:holysheep: :ignore: :hubba:

It has been a while since I updated this so i figured it was about time. my plant has grown such my. I love watchin how quicklt it transforms...

Right now my baby has about >14< leaves with 4 more very small ones growing. It is also about 2 inches tall and about 5 inches from one leaf tip to the opposite side. I recently found out that it is Idicia, giving it the short and bush appearance. Which i am very excited about. still hoping this is a female since it is my only plant...lol

sounds like u got it under control for now... except... I recommend you get rid of the tin foil and just paint the inside of the cabinet white... and you need some airflow in there as well. stagnant air is not good.

The box actually already is white, lol, i just figured the foil would reflect the light a lot better....is foil bad for it?

And also as you can see in the pic, the lights were longer than the box so they are diagonal...is that bad?

I'd say the light is fine, but you don't want to use the foil cuz it can frefract (right word?) the light so that it burns the plants. the white is good enough.

anyways... one of the other members could probably help you out better with your compact light box - setup, layout, air circ., etc - also, I would recommend you go with CFL's for your little box. (u know... the little squiggly flourescent bulbs that screw into a regular light socket) just look for some posts in Lighting on using CFL's for your grow.

lol...ya someone wanted you to grow that good ****. I haven't grown any yet, but am strongly considering it. I live on an army post, and bringing it through the gate is not kool.

thats why u only bring a seeds through. iam sure u can get a smelly for 50Cents that would suffice fordogs, hey man, there right, your odds of female are not enough for me to waste the time growing only one plant. but, on that note, grow that shizzle, it was mean't to be, if you got cfl's i'd use that instead of the shop light, also if u check out my grow u can see how i set up my cfl's on a light strip. it works well. ummm make sure it doesnt stretch, so lights should be 4-6inchs away, get a small fan to put in there, that will be of some help, but free flowing ventilation is better, u can cut 2 slots in there and install computer case fan's that wire to 16v ac adapter.

as you can see i have used a lot of lst and some hst as well. My plant for the first 4 inches or so is completely horizontal. it has recently starting growing in an "L" shape with about 11 new growth tips along the stem..
