Will this affect my plant?

It's geting chilly here, and I'm thinking of bringin my plant indoors to let it sit by the window. I figure that a warmer environment with some sunlight is better than nothing. My questions are:

1. Will this be ok? Is it worth it, of should I just harvest while it's still outside?

2. Will light leaks at this late stage of flowering be a problem? I imagine there might be some lights on in the house at night time. I don't want to screw this up...

THanks

How many weeks in flower is she? How cold is it getting there? answer those and i can give you a better scenario. from what i understand you don't really want to bring an outdoor plant indoor. And if you hafta, i would suggest getting some lights.

She's probably 10-12 weeks into flower. She's starting to smell, the trichs are showing on the leaves, but the pistils have NOT started to change color. I cut some off about 10 days ago and smoked it yesterday and felt NOTHING. Can ten days make a big difference? I'm worried that I'm going to harvest this nine-foot beauty and end up with six ounces of useless bud.

It's averaging 55 during the day and 45 at night. It should stay that way for about ten more days at least.

Any help is appreciated.

I don't really see a problem with them temps. My outdoor grows went well into the cold and came out fine. If it gets below 40 degrees a couple times will be ok. I would also suggest that you put a garbage bag over it at night. the bag will help it keep its "body heat" in, and let her go another 2 weeks if you can, sounds to me you should be very close at 10-12 weeks.

What I'm really worried about is the potency. I found it hard to believe that some bud harvested 10 days ago had no effect on me whatsoever. I'm concerned that the smell isn't very strong, and the hairs haven't begun turning brown.

It would be a total waste of time, money, and most importantly CARE if this monster yielded a whole lot of bud without any THC in it....

By now you should have trichs allover the leaves. Do your leaves look frosty white? They should, so get yourself a30x magnifier and look at the leaves. they will have little clear hair-like trichs on them, those are what you need to watch for color changes. When they are clear your still early when they start getting cloudy your gettin there, when some start to turn amber you should be there, imo. I am going to try and shoot for amore cloudy than ambertrivh this time, i have been told that the earlier harvest with clear to cloudy trichs gives more of the up high and not so much the couchlock high. Hope some of my ramblings havehelped alittle.

Yeah, I'm using a 60X pocket scope and there are definitely trichs on the leaves. It's hard to tell if they're clear or cloudy, but I'm pretty sure it's a mixture of both. I just don't know why the bud I harvested last week didn't have any effect on me...it had trichs as well!

I am not sure, coulda been how you dried it to smoke. Still not sure, should have had at least a little effect.

It had no effect because you took a sample far too early, take another sample now and see its effect.

Will ten cold days with very little sunlight really make a difference in potency?

3 questions.....

when were you hoping to harvest?
is there a need to harvest sooner than later?
did you cut leaf or bud to test 10 days ago?

1. I don't really care when I harvest -- I want the best possible bud for my circumstances.

2. There is a need to harvest sooner only because of the weather. I have no means of lighting this plant artificially indoors, and even if I did, there wouldn't be space considering it's nine feet tall.

3. I cut some bud ten days ago, dried it, and smoked it yesterday. I didn't even feel a buzz. I cut another small bud today and will try it in another ten days.

Thanks!

Yo Sap

all you need to do is snip a sample and dry it slowly in the oven or on something warm, it wont taste great but you will see how potent it is at this moment in time, you dont need to let it dry for 10 days, you can snip and try the same day, if its good and as potent as you want it, you have reached your harvest time.
