when to harvest seeds?

when should i havest the buds with seeds?is there a better time to havest or can i just wait till the whole plant is done....can the seeded buds go too long and ruin the seeds....also i have 2 strains one acts very indica...bushy and 7 to 8 weeks to flower...the other sativa....tall and more than 10 weeks to flower....i had one of the indica ones go hermy...so i took some pollen and pollenated just one branch of the same type and one branch from the other type....so the indica crossed with itself should be the same thing almost like cloning it?and the other one should be all genetically different cause its 2 different strains mixed?

since you obviously don't know the "strain" anyway, you're much better off destroying tose worthless(less than worthless... hermied) genetics, and starting anew.... Even with more unknown seeds..

I posted a thread a week or so back were I diligently nursed a hermie (one of my first plants I ever grew) and forced it to follow her female traits. It was hard work and would never do it again but I am smoking her right now and I must say it was worth the work this time because I had nothing. She is smoking real nice but the work it took everyday searching for the balls and picking them off was way more then I bargained for. But in close it can be done. I will even post a pick of her if you want to prove I changed his ways.

deg'd.. not condemning 'your' results in any way. If you don't have other females that it may contaminate...Smoke/meds is smoke/meds..... But the seeds should still be destroyed.
