We Drink to much, Smoke to much, spend to recklessly, We laugh to little , We drive to fast , Get to angry , Stay up to late ... Get up to tired , Read to little and watch TV to much.
We have multiplied our possessions, But reduced our values
We talk to much , Love to seldom , and hate to often We learned how to make a living ,,,, But not a life.
We added years to life but not life to years

And, we have forgotten grammar and spelling altogether. All those "to's" should be too's".

LOL

I am more......

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”

Hunter S. Thompson

Well I guess that doesn't count as a copy and paste job then, huh?? :)

The thoughts posted are good, even if they aren't your own. i think they are true and I am glad I read it and the whole one posted. It is a good reminder. I think it is easier to live like that when you are older and stoned on really great pot.

yup. gonna get me a bike soon and see how long it takes to spaltter my brains on the pavement. LOLOL.

Hippy, i don't think splattering of brains is what this suggests..please don't splatter, you just got here.

Been dying to get a bike this year, myself. I had one for years but I am always drunk or stoned so I wrecked it all the time. I have not had one of over 20 years, now. Don't drink like I used to so I am really really looking hard at a new bike.

Today, I am more concerned about texters than than being drunk on a bike.

Part of the reason that I love living in the tiny mountain community where I live is that there seems to be a lot less attitudes and lives lived like the first 6 paragraphs describe. We live our lives at a slower pace. We do take time to smell the roses and say hi. There are a lot of hugs and genuine concern about how you are doing. When disaster strikes someone, everyone pitches in to do what we can to help. We care less what someone drives or the name-brand of the clothing they wear and more about what is in their hearts. We do seem to have an extraordinary amount of stoners for a place this size, so maybe that helps make the laid back attitude and the friendly atmosphere that pervades here.

Hackman, I don't even drive my 4 wheeler after I drink. Don't make me come to your house and slap you--No riding motorcycles drunk! We don't want one of your friends to come on here and tell us that you were splattered across the highway when an idiot who was texting pulled in front of you and your senses were dulled just enough with alcohol so that you could not make evasive moves. All you who rides bikes, please do it safely. There really are a lot of idiots on the roads today.

I lost 3 friends to bikes in the past 5 years. Oddly enough, it was never the bikers fault. Always some car driver.

I also rode motocross for years so I was used to dumping. I could slide pretty well. LOL You won't need to slap me. Every morning, when I wake up to the pain in my joints from living my life the way I have, I am slapped. LOL

There was a time when I would slam a half of a fifth of whiskey and go riding. Small wonder I hurt the way I do. LOL Wrecked my car (drunk) over 50 times. Rolled 3. Totaled 5 or 6. Yep, there was a time when I had a (very small) drinking problem. LOL

Don't drink hardly at all any more. Just can't take it. Too old. LOL That's why I figured it might be time for me to get another bike. Nice long evening rides through the country. Cool breeze, bugs in your teeth. Yeah, I love riding at night.

Like I said before, I am more worried about the other guy, than I am my own skills as a rider (as long as I stay sober) LOL.
