What is this? I don’t think it’s bud rot

Looks like very dense spider web material. I cut it off and threw it out. Not sure what it is but I don’t like it.

Found it on a bud that was hang drying

I can see the Bud Rot. It's been there awhile. The webbing looking stuff almost looks like spider mites but I'm thinking it's just mold and rot.

Yeah it smelled great. But I think it’s some sort of fungus. The white stuff is probably mycelium.

That is advanced bud rot. I lost a bunch of my auto plant harvest this year to bud rot. My area has had over 30” of rain this summer. Normal is under 10”.

It’s called butrosys… the spelling might be off, but it is definitely advance bud rot
