Got a 4sqft spot I want to put an HPS for flowering. I know 5000Lumens / sqft is good, but would a 150Watt 16,000L light be enough? My concern is the extra heat a 250W will emit. I'll be adding a 250CFM removing air from the room (540 cuft) but already have a grow box that produces 90degree temps when closed, and mid 70's in the room when fully open. My plan is to draw air into the veg box from the flower space, using the fan on the exhaust side pulling out of the box, and pushing into a crawl space with a DLToker carbon filter on it.

It's soaring up to 90 when closed???!!!!
I think if you can get it down to 70 closed then you should be ok with a 250W. 150W will work. but common rule of thumb is 50W per sq.ft.
If in doubt go with the 150W.
