Not really, but there is an initial investment in lights, equipment, nutrients and on and on. You can get up and going pretty cheap if you ask the gals and guys around here for guidance as you go.

First, you need to decide what you want out of your efforts and resoursces. Not in generalities either--get specific with yourself, do a heart's-desire thing. There are some very clever people here who will be able to get you where you wanna go. But it ain't magic--it takes work.

And welcome--wish I'd been as curious as you are when I was 20.
