Want some advice about a room

I plan on purchasing 2 grow tents for my setup. One that will be for Flowering and one for vegging.Both are going to be 3x3x6ft.

The flowering tent will have a 400W HPS light and the vegging tent will have a 400W MH. Both will have proper ventilation to reduce the amount of heat.

I don't plan on having alot of plants in the tents maybe at any given time having 5 or 6.

I just wanted to get some advice as too what the seasoned vets would recommend on a setup like this. I have done searches and found valuable info, but I wanted to get some different advice.

It sounds like you're going the right direction. What are you asking for?

Dirt or Hydro? Are you going to grow with clones or seed?

I want to try to keep a mother plant in the tent and make clones from her, but I don't know how crowded it will get in there with her.
Will I have to set up another little room just for the clones?

Most people keep a room for Host plants and rooting cuttings. Unless you're going to dedicate a tent to that, I would set up another room.

Something else you may want to consider is an aeroponic rooting tub. Easy to build, lots of models to buy, and fantastic to use. I bought the Botanicare "Cloning Machine", and had I known how it would simplify rooting clones, I would have bought one years ago.

In this model, you simply take up to 25 cuttings at 4 to 6 inches long, leave only the very top leaves on them, fill the little tub with 3 gallons of water, some rooting hormone, anti-fungal and turn it on with a small 15 watt light above it. You may have to add another gallon of water before the 15 days is up, but at 15 days, you take the clones out and they'll have about a foot of roots on each one.

Also, you many consider more than one Host Plant. If anything happens to the "one" plant you have, and it's the only Host Plant you have of that strain, you're pretty well screwed. If you have two, the second one will give you a cutting to start a replacement Host Plant so that the strain isn't lost.

Even one host plant will give you more cuttings than you can use in a small setup, but I just keep mine trimmed to a nice neat bush and throw away the cuttings until I need them.

I do not keep mother plants. I do a perpetual harvest type grow and also like to vary the strains I am smoking, although I have my favorites I come back to. I take clones from clones. I have a small bubble cloner that I used to keep in its own space, but I have found that it does just fine in my vegging space since I run the lights 24/7.

Your vegging tent should be large enough for you to have a mom, clone, and veg. Your veg space can be substantially smaller than your flowering space, since plants will double or triple in size when put into 12/12.

Yea but I thought taking a clone of a clone wont produce as much as taking a clone from a mother. Kinda like making a copy of a copy etc. But I could be wrong. How many generations are you able to do this without affecting anything?

The number that I keep seeing repeated as the limit is between 11 and 13 "copies of copies". Supposedly, at that point, the amount of thc drops markedly.
