Assuming u've taken all the right steps in ur grow i was wondering about what is the max u can produce wit a 250watt mh/hps lamp.
This is so many places here on MP that I think it's just misunderstood.
Each light bulb has a "Lumen" rating. This is it's total output in light, as measured by Lumens.
Here's the key:
For each square foot of area that your plant(s) are taking up, you need to have a minimum of 3,000 lumens to have a decent harvest. 5,000 lumens per/square foot makes it much better.
When your plants are just ready to put into flower, measure the square footage of the area they cover. Multiply that square footage by 5,000 and you will know how many lumens of total output you need to properly light your crop.
Take the number that is your lights total lumen output and divide it by 5,000. The answer is what your total square footage of plant area you can flower with that 250, 400, 600 or any light that is appropriate to use at all.
How much weed from each square foot is determined by so many other factors that it really can't be forecast with any accuracy. Some strains put out twice the weight that others do.
