tryin to force it

hello plant gods, this is jahkilla still new to the game, so your knowledge i do seek... my plant has been vegging for about six weeks now and has grown to about two and a half feet tall. i just read about a natrural inducer called chitosan, based on chitin the principal cell wall component of fungi.it says that when this is sprayed on plants,the plants think they have been attacked by fungus,making the plants machinery kick in to put out biochemicals to stave off infection,"AND" in the process shift from a veg state and put all its energy into flowering. the only thing on the market at the time of this publication(high times;sept,2002) is a product called rage. my question is this can i use this or something else to force flowering?????????:hubba:

Why not switch the lights to 12 on and 12 off? Thats how all of us (except lowryder growers) flower a plant.
