ok so i guess for lack of better words, whats the "lifespan" for a clipping... like how long can it be off the mother plant before it must be put through the cloning process?? and is there a way to preserve clippings for a later time?

You can refrigerate the cuts for about a month after taking them. Then dip them in rooting hormone and plant.

whats the "proper" method to refridgerate the cuttings? would it be safe to venture a guess and say wrap in papertowel, put in plastic ziplock baggy and put in the veggi bin? its the first thing that comes to mind since i love cooking i keep some herbs and such in my fridge in this same way to keep them crisp and fresh longer. and you said about a month thats perfect honestly...

That's exactly how ya do it bud! Just keep an eye out for mildew...

how wet? damp like youd use for the paper towel sprouting method?

and thanks for the help/info guys, yall have been a huge help

yes like that.

perfect thanks a bunch again XD

ooh one more question, i just got done with trimming up my sexy and stinky God Bud gal, tried to clone with another plant earlier in the year and totaly did it wrong so i dont wanna mess up this time and since im planning on saving these clippings for about a month i wanna know should i snip the tips of the leaves now or wait till im ready to stick them in my humidity bubble?

ok just had a random thought while looking at random crap in my house... i found a huge, like 1gal-1.5gal pyrex glass bowl... would this be useable as a humidity dome? my thought was a plate to set the small cups on, put the glass bowl ontop and seal the gap with tape, only sealing about 75-80% of the gap between the plate and the bowl... just trying to figure out a simple DIY "cloner box" with the random crap i got just layin around my place.

 thanks again to everyone whos helped me in my adventures

I found that the ice cube tray that makes tube ice for water bottles works great for me....its like the flower shop...they keep the flowers in water and in cooler....I took clippings and placed them in the trays and in fridge ....a month later I took them and new cut under water ..and get maybe 80% rooted..best of luck

take care and be safe

you can use plastic wrap over anything to make a humidity dome...
