I am growing next to a marsh, and somtimes during a hard rain the ground will get flooded for a day or two, could this lead to the plants death

First of all, welcome to MP ganjadude11. Good to have you here. You have came to the right place to learn and share you knowledge of growing mj. This site is loaded with people that are very knowledgeable and are willing to help you out in any way possible.

As for the plants next to a marsh, it's probably not the best place to grow mj but it will work. As long as the ground doesn't stay wet for more than a day or two at most, it should be ok. MJ is a very tough plant and can grow just about anywhere in the world. I'm sure they will do just fine. Make sure to keep us posted and we look forward to seeing some pics of your ladies sometime in the near future. Take care my friend.

howdy gangadude11,i grow in rockwool and its always wet...soo...im no outdoor guy but i would say yes.i too look forward too pics, good luck

because you are growing outdoors, you can manipulate the immediate environment to suit your grow...

you say you have a possible flooding problem?

what I would do is create a mound of dirt where you want to plant the girl and plant it on top of the mound, so if the immediate area floods, the mound will remain above water level... ya get me?

like an island in a floodplain

Van guy is correct. But make sure its high enough so that the water doesnt get up around your plants. Water standing around your plants will starve them of oxygin in a matter of hours more so in the daytime when the sun is high. I had water kill some in just over a day not all the way dead but they never recovered. But i have like vanguy says grown in a marsh where i waded water half the year to get to a small island big enough for 18 plants. And i only had one male 17 females then you know your living right. So as long as the water goes up and back down quickly and drains well your ok. If you dig your hole for the plant and it is really muddy or fills with water then its not a good place to grow. Also if there aren`t any other big weedstalks left from last year then that may be a good sign its too wet to grow there. Good luck and welcome to MP #1 site.
