Tiny Yellow Spots

Hey all, sorry my first post is a question, but here it goes:

This is only going on with one of my three plants (Pineapple Express). It started as only a few tiny spots on the lower leaves which got more yellow, and it seems that it's spreading to the top leaves. My grow box is a cupboard that is 2.5x2.5x1 and is lined w/ mylar and has 4 23 watt (100 watt equivalent) 5000k lights, @ about 6" above the plant, placing them closer seemed to cause some heat/light damage.

They are in one gallon pots, and I transplanted them last week into Fox Farms Ocean Soil, and have given them only one feeding Friday with Fox Farms Big Grow, at 1/4 strength. The PH is holding at 6.4-6.5.

There's a lot of things that seem to have this symptom, so I don't know which it is.

Is it pests? I don't see anything on this plant, and again, this is the only plant that has this problem, and the only thing that gets into this cupboard seems to be regular house flies, maybe a couple fruit flies.

I included pics below. The first is a pic of the lower leaves, the second shows the beginnings of the yellow dots on the upper leaves, if you look close.

You need to get a magnifying glass and take a very close and careful look at the tops and undersides of the leaves to make sure that is not some critters sucking juice from the plant, as that is my first thought. There are several tiny critters that can hide well and do that damage. If you see any kind of bugs or tiny "larva" crawling around then get some Neem oil. My local store has a brand of Neem Oil called "Garden Safe Neem oil" that mixes in water easily. I use this periodically in a small pump up sprayer to cover the plants, soil, floor, and walls to keep out the critters. The first time you use it on them, take them out of the cabinet and soak them with it till they are dripping wet, both tops and undersides of the leaves. Don't worry about any harm to the plants or the later smoking experience as it biodegrades within a couple weeks.

I don't believe that is any kind of deficiency. If you don't find any sign of critters then you could have a pathogen in the plant. But I am more inclined to think critters as I had a similar type of small yellow spots on my plants and it was critters, I believe white flies, but the Neem oil eliminated the problem. Ya, thanks guys, I checked earlier today and it WAS mights. Probably came from the grower I got them from,a s they've only been in my cupboard for a week.

I heard a lot about the Hot Shot no pest strips from Home Depot (I know of the controversial nature of these). I just want them gone, rather than keep fighting them long term. So I figured I'd knock them out now while the plants are still vegging out, and there's ample time to have the active chemical fade away, than to try to control the problem the whole time.

there's everything from neem oil to hot pepper spray to praying mantises, and many other weapons to try against em, and there's lots of threads on here with different opinions and techniques

I got into the lil monsters OD, and was very lucky that I had a friendly little "bud bug" that discovered em and gobbled most of em up

You have quite a bad infestation from looking at the condition of your leaves. I would hit them hard and fast with something serious--I'm talking Forbid or Floramite. I have never found things like tobacco water, iso and water, pepper sprays, hot shot strips, etc to be effective in eradicating mites. Keep in mind that if you do not kill them, they come back stronger than ever. They might seem to be gone for a bit (things like pepper spray makes them move to a different location--usually another spot on the plant that missed treatment) , but it does nothing to eliminate them and their eggs and you have mites back stronger than ever.
