The guy whose book I am editing has my old "dictionary". The letters are very stylistic (as opposed to grade-school exactitude).
So the upper right is possibly a really skewed symbol for "man" spoken: "run/ren"

For the left hand symbol... Try as I may, I cannot make out anything at all -- it looks like (a wild guess) it might be "great" spoken "wei" <

The only other thing is the number one -- It is just like ours, but sideways. So my brilliant dechipering using what I learned in 1959 comes up with "Kewl Guy -- He's Numba One!"
