Different strokes for different folks. I have them eating out of my hands. I when I was young I used to shoot everything in sight. Not anymore!

I think I have a split personality; I hate it when the little bastages take bites outa green mangoes and then leave to bite another green mango...

But this time of year, I have five that come to me for peanuts in the morning. The bunnies show up, but do not come close until I leave. The peacocks all but push me outa the way toward the dish of goodies I put out there.

So I guess I am asking for it. One lucky thing for squirrels: If they did not have fluffy tails... if they had rat tails... Extinct.

Jeeebus. My memory must be going... Where the hell did you get the pic of Young Unca??? Clearly, I musta sent it to you. Musta been when we first met and you gifted me weed. Back when that pic was tooken, my beard was red.

The butterflies are my artwork, made from Fancy Pants' and Beau's castoff feathers. I just made three more this week for my neighbors.

Oh, heck. Herself just walked in and looked over my shoulder... She has something to say. She says I have to type it as she says it:

"That picture I took shows this important thing about Walt. He is huge, funny, and made of something hard. Cover his face below his eyes. Scary, isn't he."

Oh fer chrissake. This is embarrassing, but I gotta make it to Halloween.

Good lookin' old fart, ye are. I wish I could do the 'stache. Mine just droops, and I simply cannot do butch wax.

We had a squirrel fall down our chimmney once, but was stopped by the damper. I could hear it scratching, so I opened the damper and closed the glass doors until it dropped down into the fireplace.

Fortunately, I was able to throw a towel over it and extract it without getting bit.
Obviously, you were smarter than rubber gloves guy. What a dumas.

I don't play with them anymore. Forbidden by the Beautiful Witch.
I find snakes to be most fascinating, and beautiful creatures. I like them in my yard for insect and small rodent control.
The ONLY snake I've ever considered keeping is endangered in the wild. Hunter S. Thompson had one that was killed by a night watchman. Behold, the beautiful Eastern Indigo Snake;

That last pic looks like an aircraft carrier in the background...

Ohh-kay. We gone haveta bring ya up to speed. My snakey-thing was that I did a (as far as I know) world-unique way of killing rattlesnakes. I developed it after noting rattlers give a small frisson down their backs about 1/5 of a second before striking.

I'd get my right foot as close to the buzzer as possibobble while holding my trusty Swiss Army Knife in my right hand. Then I'd bring my left hand in towards the snake's head in a jerky motion.

Bottom line, when I saw the frisson, I'd swing the Swiss Army Knife around 10" or so in front of the snake's head while yanking my left hand the hell outa Dodge. My reaction: 1/3 second. Snake's 1/5 second... so I hadda be fast.

The blade would hit the back of his head and stun or kill the buzzer. It was best if it only stunned him. Then I could pick him up.

There was a still posted here from an old video taken of me doing this trick the very last time. Herself put her dainty foot down when I was slow on the penultimate time I did it, and the buzzer's bottom teeth scraped across the top of my hand.

There's a pic somewhere around here showing it. I betcha @BigSur could find it.

Reminds me of my granddaughter at age 2 and a container of strawberries. She would take 1 bite out of each strawberry and put it back in the container. Then move on to the next one. Needless to say I was not happy when I went to use the berries and everyone was bitten off of then put back in the fridge. Now mind you the 2 year old didn't put them back in the fridge like that….. Morons!

All is not lost, Grasshopper. You train your 'tache using this... it sorta disappears in an hour or two. Get the neutral color. $5 on Amazon.

I grew a beard once - keep in mind I just don't have a lot of facial hair.
After the itching stopped, my thinking was "Cool! No more shaving!"
Then it got long enough (took about 4-5 months, iirc) that I realized it was just as much work...what with constant combing and beard oil and...anyhow, I'm back to my regularly scheduled weekly shaves. A 10 ounce can of Barbasol shaving cream goes bad and turns to liquid before I can use it all up. That's how much facial hair I get.

I have a good (GRAY) **** star moustache, though! lol

I knew a guy that bred venomous snakes. Not me. I always stayed away from them. My old man killed a Copperhead on our carport when I was a tyke. Cut the head off, CLEAN OFF...then pried the fangs down and showed me the venom flowing out of them onto his knife blade.

That was when I became fascinated with snakes, and my first book report ever in 1st grade was about snakes. Problem with keeping them is that to a snake, a human can only be either prey or predator. I won't kill them wantonly, but as a matter of survival I'd rather stay on the predator side of that particular relationship.

Morning all. Iam not a fan of spiders and snakes but they are necessary. They help keep rodents and insects under control. Good thin is most around here aren't harmful. We do have a few black widows and brown recluse spiders but they are rare. Only dangerous snakes are rattlers which again are rare.
