Talked to funeral home owner about being buried on my own property .. he didn't care for my question but answered and said that in Texas it is legal to bury someone on your personal property as long as city laws and deed restrictions didn't object ..

wife and I are both going to be cremated and sprinkled from a bridge into a major river .. no biggie
Doing the same thing but eating 3 lbs of uncooked pop corn
give em something to talk about

Cataract surgery shouldn't even be on the fargin "surgery" list. It is painless, and it improves the heck outa your overall ability to see. BTDT
My eyeball doc tells me it's in my near future, but my problem is that I'm a rubber. I'd rip those lenses off the first spring due to itchy eyeballs from all the pollen floating around.
My point was simply the cost of assisted living or a decent nursing home is around $10,000 a month. I hope I don't end up sleeping in the gutter....
Yep, 10K a month for a hard bed, absolutely ****** food, and the minimum of care or attention. They left my mother unattended. She couldn't walk. She got up and fell. Broke her arm. With the dementia, she couldn't remember why her arm hurt so bad. Instead of chilling, she'd move it and howl in pain, not knowing why it hurt. I wanted to sue the place back to the stone age but my brother said it would be futile.

These nursing homes are just wrinkle farms. The are owned by a conglomerate that manages many of them, often in multiple states. They're profit motivated. They could give two ***** about providing any quality of life for their patients. They buy **** food in bulk and hire minimum wage workers that really don't want to be there.

I told the Pullet that if I ever go that way, put some newspapers on the kitchen table and get the gun cleaning kit out, set me in a chair, put my finger on the trigger of the 45 after she'd removed the magazine, and end my suffering. It would be the old "forgot the one in the chamber" story.

Kinda makes my opinion that with out being real stupid with real bad things every somewhat thing in moderation.
Because Im not so sure I want to be that healthy where my body lives longer than my brain.
Last time I would go down would be on my side by side ( new ammo not reloaded!)

I just don't want my daughter to be at the mercy of a parasite funeral director. She will be a mess an not a good position to make decisions. The cost of all this is absurd! Do your loved ones a favor and do your due diligence.
Yep and plan so your finances dont fall into the parasite government's hands who taxes everything we do from birth to death and after death a lot more or take your stuff.

Yup, plan accordingly. If you wait or ignore the inevitable....the gov't will take everything it can.

I'd rather take several sleeping pills and never wake up. Wouldn't want my family to deal with blowing my head off. To much a mess.
Go to sleep and stay asleep. No mess and much more pleasant. Most ppl actually die from heart attacks and **** at home or at the hospital. No nursing home for me.

I agree completely but you need to know what you're doing .
many people end up worse than what they were when, they wanted to go

Okay time for a subject change.

OK, but one more. Just a link to explain and to spark further research. It works great in Michigan.

I am not on medicaid....Will something like that work on Medicare? I was planning on seeing an attorney on this in a couple of months. I did prepay for me and Mrs Pute which takes care of our cremations. $3,500 to get fried and all necessary paperwork. Because I am a veteran I get a place for our urn's and are free.

If they raise the Death Tax back up I need to start planning on how to minimize the consequences for my daughter.
