Damn Boo did they ever determine what caused your heart to fly off the handle? Adjusted your meds..what was wrong that caused this.

I have high blood pressure but when I got home from the gym on Wednesday, it felt like a freight train in my body so I drove over and admitted myself. Seems it wasn’t the heart but the BP…I spent seven hours in the hallway on a cot, and I felt like a piece of insignificant meat, but I didn’t go to a country club. I went to a hospital. I ended up in a dorm room with nine other men hacking and spitting up all night long. It drove me absolutely bonkers. I as for Ivan, he is wound up 24 seven right now he’s laying on the couch staring at me…

gonna make a cardiologist appointment this week, they did EKG's and said I had no heart activity out of the norm...I know PAD runs in my family, I've got 260 mm. of stents in me...blood tests showed no issues other than the BP...seems the party days of the early 70's has come back to haunt me, them chickenz have come home to roost...

My big brother had the "widow maker" heart attack. They put a stent in him and the world was lovely. A couple of years later, he has another one. Turns out the stent slipped. Redid it and he's good to go again.

afternoon folks, it's been a rough coupla days for this old man...spent 25 long hours at the emergency room, heart was pounding like a trip hammer...adjusted my meds and it's better than ever...for how long I dunno...I gotta give a shout out to the crew, gangier and lesso, kept in touch with both the whole time...lesso cane over with a live resin cart pen for me, the three of us are forming a bond, feels good to spend face time with my local buddies...Ivan came in this morning with curtains of saliva hanging from his mouth once again...I bought a rubber muzzle for his, gotta do something as he leaves puddles of drool for me to clean up...I got horror stories to tall about the visit, reminds me of plant of the apes...

Sorry you had to suffer through that brother! I had that problem when my blood electrolytes got out of balance.

Wow boo I’m just reading this. I’m glad to her you are ok. I’m sure you have to do a follow up with the heart doc. Hope the med change is all you need.
so good to hear you boyz are bonding. I’m sure you will have some good memories made. Good idea about the muzzle at least till Ivan quits eating everything. That will calm down too in time I’m sure.

Thanks roster, that was very kind of you. I haven’t smoked since 1990 but I gave up smoking cigars two days ago. I’ve got 260 mm of stent in my abdominal aorta and I’m going to likely need more… it seems that all the partying I did back in the 70’s has caught up with me and I am paying the bill. I might not show it, but I really appreciate all of you guys and enjoy being a part of this community. I’ve made many friends along the path and a lot of them are here….

I use to smoke cigars too, I gave them up when I too had a BP problem, I was very surprise how a simple mouthful of smoke containing Nicotine could and would raise my BP 40points on top end. My heart rate would jump from 65 to 100 in a snap of smoking a few puffs.
I have since stopped all smoking except for a few Jays and my BP has been under control for a good while now.' It was the cigars doing damage to me too.
I have to be careful, I have only half the heart signal telling the right and left side of heart to beat.
My right signal is gone and the left takes over to tell both sides to beat.

Thanks @SubmarineGirl , I am rural, also, on a lake with alligators, land with coral and rattlesnakes. These threats are here. Native Floridians develop a sense of how to dodge them. It becomes instinctive.

I would never advise @boo to do anything that was beyond his surveillance.

Not that he would take my advice anyway!!!

Mosquitoes, that is an issue. It has been dry in my area, so mosquitoes have not been a problem in the daytime.
