i made a fan speed controler.. it wrks but i think at that speed its not gonna keep my cool tube and tent cool... how can i get more air through??
tricks tips??
i have a 4" hose ran to the bottom vent hole and can do the same with the one at the back of the tent.... but that doest seem to be enough air to keep it loose/ not sucked in.....

Hello Left :)

I thought a cool tube had a fan blowing through it to take the hot air out.

In my mind and from the pics I have seen the cool tube had ducting into it and ducting out of it with a blow fan.

Is this how your set up is?

The light gets its cooling air in and hot out and then after that you have your tent in fan at the bottom and a different outlet at the top for the tent air out.

no thats not how it is man..
i have my one end open in my cool tube to draw out heat from there..
then a negative line to pull fresh air in...

depends: is fresh air (make-up air) passive ? Min 10' feet for intake vs exhaust to prevent recirculation.
If it has a fan: what style, in-line , squirell cage style ?
Ducting for the room can be calculated out using the DIY section and gives more info...

alright the 10' are done.. the fan is a ostberg fan, 6" inline duct fan..
as you can tell im a little new to the math, but what needs to be calculated?? it cant get it to suck hard enough not to suck in the tent and if i slow it dow to the point where it doesnt it doesnt suck enough to cool the tent and light...
I am new to tents so if anyone out there uses tents and can tell me the do suck in some or till the tent is taunt, that would be great.. and very helpfull..
thank you

hippy's version of the setup is what you want...it's the best way to equalize the pressure in the tent...use a 100 cfm fan for room ventilation with a 6" intake so you're not pulling the walls in.

cant do hippies version... on the left side of my tent there is a hole on the bottom, top, and back, non on the right sight side...
so i would have to come all around to the left back to exhaust out my light, then which do i choose fresh air in or air out, i only have 3 holes not 4 so i cant vent the light out and then have fresh air and exhaust my tent too..
