that is a floro bulb. there are t12, t8, and t5, referring to the size of the tube. Use whichever you like. I used the t12s becauase they had the highest lumen rating per tube.

I actually have ten of the four foot T-5's they are 54 watts each and 5000 lumens each as well. They come in both full spectrum (6500 kelvins). Also comes in the 2700 kelvin range for flowering.. I love them. Even wth the ten bulbs (five of each that I run) electric use is barely noticable. (minable) TOO COOL!!!

Hey BTW, I came across a thread yesterday telling about how you can increase your performance from tube floros. You run strips of foil adhesive tape along the top of the tubes, aligned to compensate for how the pins line up, essentially making a built in eyelid or reflector. All light goes down rather than sideways and up. That tape is sticky as hell but I'm going to try it.

2 23 watt daylight cfl's are 8 bucks, 3200 combined lumens but you can screw them up to normal sockets and they can more easily be placed where they need to be. I'm having really good results using them and 2700 k bulbs at a ratio of 2 daylight 6500k to one soft white 2700k inside a rubber maid box like this one:

Haven't gotten around to that yet ~ I have a light meter so will be able to measure the increase ~
