Hello Slo :)

I got round to making this :aok:

I used wild red Salmon instead of crab because I couldnt get crab at my local store, plus I used 5 big mushrooms instead of Lb of smaller ones.

I also finished off 3 cherry tomatoes I had in the fridge.

I think I over filled them

Thank you very much for sharing this, it was absolutely delicious!

got my mouth watering now. thanks for the pics HIE. and thanks for the recipe, slowmo.
i'm a print this out and get round to it tonight or sometime this week

dang! i can't find this old bay seasoning anywhere...
is there something i can substitute with??

you can make it if you can find all the stuff. it a regional thing and isn't always easy to find. you can also try to find crab cake mix at your local food store. it should be about the same thing. here how to make it if your interested..

OLD BAY SEASONING

1 tablespoon celery seeds
1 tablespoon whole black peppercorns
6 bay leaves
1/2 teaspoon whole cardamoms
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
4 whole cloves
1 teaspoon sweet Hungarian paprika
1/4 teaspoon mace

In a spice grinder or small food processor, combine all of the ingredients. Grind well and store in a small glass jar. Best if used within 6 months (date your jar).

didn't get the chance to make the old bay seasoning, just ended up using jonny's seafood seasoning, turned out pretty good, although I for some reason thought it said to use 2 lbs of crabmeat...
made ten and they all got eaten, but they'll be so much better next time for sure.
probably not as good as HIE did it, but here's how i did..
oh, and i couldn't find any white cheddar either, so I used swiss... yum!
