I've got some cheap organic potting soil, Canadian sphagnum peat moss, perlite, vermiculite, worm castings, bat guano, and chicken manure...and last but not least a bottle of Blue Mountain organics super plant tonic. The issue is, I don't know how much of what to mix with what for the soil mixture, and I'm not sure when to use certain fertilizers during certain growth phases? Also, do I need anything else for the soil mixture like dolomite lime?

Wolfie...it depends on exactly what you are trying to do. Are you trying to mix a soil with amendments that will feed the plant thru the entire phase of life? Are you just trying to make a nice soil and feed with organic nutes, such as a tea, or something? As far as the dolomite lime goes...some people swear by it, some dont, to each their own...but i use it at 2 tbs per gallon of soil (including amendments) used.

Also, it may help if you give some more info on the type of guano you have and the N-P-K ratios of your products. Peeps would better be able to help you figure out a solid soil/nute mix for you to use. Good luck...

Def. I would tailor your soil mix to the stage of growth. Mass Producer has enlightened me to the concept of layering soil to emulate the naturall rock bed. I would worry about nitrogen production for the first bucket you grow in. Then when you transplant to flower, tailor that bucket for heavy phosphorus and potassium.

I think I'm going for a really nice soil that will feed the plant + nutes for different growth stages. Here's the info on my goodies, (all from Blue Mountain Organics) that I know of: Granulated Chicken Manure (NPK 5-3-2.5), High Phosphorus Bat Guano (NPK 0-7-0), Organic Worm Castings (NPK 1-0-0), Super Plant Tonic 100 % Organic Blended Tea Concentrate (1.25-.4-.9)

I also suggest soil layering. The bottom most layer should be like 90% perlite and vermeculite and slowly as you get to the top add more soil. Also layer the organic food too depending on where the roots will be at that stage.

Higher p and k during flower, and higher N for veg during the top. But make sure to still add a little of each to mix anyways so in flower they still get a LITTLE nitrogen.

Massproducer also suggested not to use lime unless you have a field lol!
