I saw a picture on here that someone had some kind of 'mini' plant that only grew to about 12" tall, and also people who pulled the branches down to the side to limit how tall the plants got, has anyone done this?? is there any special procedure to keeping them shorter??

Thx for help in advance :)

search for threads with "LST". There are many techniques. I prefer to use twist ties or pipe cleaners to tie the tops over almost back down to the ground. This will force the other shoots on the plant to grow more rapidly and the plant to turn more bushy. You can also induce flower when they are very young to keep them very small.

Also, those mini plants are autoflowering mmj plants, most widely know strains of it are called Lowryders, check em out...

The mini plants could have been regular strains just flowered early with a single cola. This is known as SOG (Sea of Green).

Another method similar to LST is SCROG (Screen of Green). Instead of tying the plant down, it is trained to grow horizontally under a screen.

What is an expected yield from a lowryder?? They are expensive as i've seen...

Are there any major differences between that and a regular strain?? (i'm mainly looking for drawbacks...)

Thanks guys.

get your self whatever strain you like all you have to do is flower them out around 7-8"

Not true, most sativas will at least, triple in height.

Cinderella 99, started from a 7" clone will grow into a 3" tall cola. Impossible to LST that size. Ruin your yield.

Stick to:

Indica

Ruderalis (Lowryder)

...or grow in a taller space.
