From grower to grower.

Hypothetical Question: If you wanted say 12-14 mature females at harvest time (completely random number) how many NON-Feminized, Regular seeds would you pop before sexing.

Im not looking for any definite answer and I understand good genetics and grower error has a lot to do with the outcome as well. Good genetics come with hefty price tags and i dont want to waste the money.

Thanks Guys & Gals.

If I want 12 to 14 females to set out from see, I will germinate 50 seeds so that I have a good slection to choose from

"Seed to mature female".... I thought this would be a thread about something totally different... You see ... I'm a "mature female", ROFLMAO
:48:
just kidding with ya!
Do as many as you can afford and keep the best if you need them all started at the same time. There are no set ratios of male to female so good luck. Why not just buy 10 of what you like the best and take clones to get your numbers?

Thanks for the input guys.

Gone2Pot, I know thats the ideal situation but right now im stuck with growing outdoors. I dont grow year round so it would be hard for me to justify having a mother unless i REALLY like the genetics. And in which case i would probably have my indoor tents by then. I try to grow enough in the outdoor season to carry my thru the year.

I do not keep mothers--I simply do not have room. I take clones from clones from cl......

I would start at least 40, however 50 would be better. You will most likely have some that do not germinate and you need to plan on a 50-75% M-F ratio

I just got 12/12 on reg seeds. All females. You just never know. If your running organic, do multiple seeds per container, flower then early and tie down. Allows you to hunt the keeper faster.
