Saw a bug in grow room.

haven't actually put my grow room together yet.

But i was cleaning out the grow room, for the eventual
build. and I saw a little bug. Not sure what kind it was.
It got away. I think it was a tiny spider that makes cob webs
but im not sure. The room is a roughed in bathroom in the basement
that never gets used. Should I be concerned?? :doh:

Should I do anything before I actually put the room together??
Like BOMB it with insecticide or something?

Nah man. If you don't know what it was... I was growing in a room with TONS of bugs. Could you imagine if everyone just bombed their room every time they saw a bug :doh: lol

Spiders are fine. You just need to worry about bugs that will eat your plants.

ya i would worry about the spider. I put this sticky hanging in the grow room and it catches all kinds of bugs and. Good luck with ur grow room peace

worrie about the spider much!!! the plant is very valuable i mean what if the spider were to crawl on it!!!omg it would be the end of the world and u would have to throw the plant away...lol j/k dont take that the wrong way i was kidding=)

IF it was a spidey mite ..........There are probably eggs somewhere......Keep your humidity down and dont let the room get too hot...........if you think thats gonna be a problem then smoke it with sulpur first (that should kill any mould spores off as well )......On the other hand control is best...get some sticky traps there good for spotting all the lil critters in the grow room.....then you will be able to identify anything easier....

If you havent build the room yet i dont see any harm in bombing it prior to building it, at least then you will know for sure they are no bugs in your grow area.....and you can have some peace of mind... trust me you will have other things to worry about once you get going.. at least bugs will not be one of them..

you wouldnt see a spider mite walking on the floor unless you have xray 20x vision eyes which ive yet to come across someone with them.

having said that that fella off trailer park boys with the glasses who had kitty land had those type of eyes imho

heh, every house had spiders anyways, even if it's new and you don't see them there's a spider in there, it's almost impossible to not have a few....you just wont see them as often. I wouldn't be worried at all, the only thing i'd be worried is if it started to get in the plant and like make a web from leaf to leaf, which....then you can kill the spider and take off the web. I've had like 2 on my outside plants but it doesn't do anything really.

Spider mites won't be found in ur home unless u have plants... then there is a chance... but it is easy to know they are there once they are established... webs everywhere.... little 1/4 size of a poppyseed dots crawling around...

Yup, like i said unless they start webbing on your plants you don't have anything to worry about. And if you do see them there's always homemade pesticides you can use or even store bought, but i wouldn't use any poisons from the stores in my house, i'd go with the 15 apsrin to 1 gallon of water type deal.
