Race, Gender, and Marijuana Use

Have there been studies done that show what the statistics are of marijuana use amongst males and females, and also between races? I'm curious to see the information and I am apparently too stoned to find it on google.

There is only one race, and its the human race. I was under the impression that we are all compatible with each other. I honestly dont believe any statistic could accurately show that the color of skin determines the likelihood of smoking marijuana.


I know males smoke more then females tho.

I'm with you, there is only one race, and the topic isn't meant to be controversial. I'm merely interested in the statistics as to the number of people who smoke pot, broken down by ethnicity and gender. According to statistics, which race/gender smokes more pot, or less pot, than others... not really about the likelihood at all. I think about weird stuff when I'm high. Don't judge me. haha. I also rewind movies several times attempting to pause it on weird/funny facial expressions. Good to know about males smoking more, though! I wonder why that is.

i would bet jamicans smoke more jamacian than your average american stoner---bet morrocans and afgans smoke more hash than the rest of the world---californians probally smoke more kush than most---and people struggling financially are burning anything they can get their hands on including trim, hermied weed, and that pollenated OD crap from south of the border---more stoners per square foot of real estate---my bet is CA

I think this is still partially true as far as Western culture and good tobacco smoking (pipes, cigars). Hookah bars aside, I have never seen any other black American chicks smoking tobacco in cigars and pipes.

In Cuba women smoke cigars as long as your arm (watch a documentary called Buena Vista Social Club), and in several Middle Eastern cultures women smoke hookahs. This is an old shot of a Persian chick smoking a qalyan (Persian hookah).
