I did got 2 of dual flours. lights (commercial) $20.00 each,
its 3 ft long.. nice....
also got T8 40w 18000 lums not bad.. I plan to use both in one makes
4 tubes in one site.. and I will make hood stand so it will be movable..

problem is... I only see two wires, black and white, thats only negative and positive there is no 3rd wire known as ground (green) I did see green screw which is for ground, but there is no ground wire around the ballast, or any wires don't show as "ground" and goes with that ground screw....

oh well.. and I was gonna to hook these wires to a wire plug... so I can
plug it anywhere ... I don't want it hook to the house with switch...

is it okay If I go ahead, just stick with neg, and post. and hook it up with the plug, this better work, will I be alright? :holysheep:

hook it up black to black, white to white, and take the ground and hook it under the green screw. that grounds everything sence its all bolted/welded together.

oh yes, that does make sense!! right, and use the switch to go with the
positive wire..., excuse me its not 18000 lums, its 38,400 lums each tubes

thats awesome... and thanks!! yes that makes sense, now I'm getting this light gear fix up today!!, again thanks!! been busy wanna good lights for babies..

..wait a minute!... 38,000 ???...
40 watts??? are you sure you aren't adding a "0" there by mistake... and it isn't 3,800 L.
at least THAT sounds reasonable.. "38,000" doesn't..

LOL, you beat me to it, Hick. Even 3800 lumens is good output for a 40W T8--I don't think I saw one over 3600 while checking out fluoros.

two prong h.o. or v.h.o. can get you to 3700-3800 lumens but the efficency goes wwaaaaaaaayyyyyy down.

I'm confused--what efficiency goes down and why?

ho & vho lamps produce more watts than standard flourescent lamps of the same footage, which dosent really matter because a watt is a watt in a lamp, but the ballasts for them aren't as efficient in transforming the voltage up from 120v or whatever the line voltage is.

sorry my bad, yea HICK and hemp god my bad..

this time I got this paper front of me its 3,050 lumens, its 48'' (4ft)
the type/size is F40T12 so I got 4 of it up and running so I'm running total of
12,200 lumens for veg... I'm try to save bill and keep some mothers any idea?

imo floros are great for keeping moms happy. cheap to run for long periods of time i dont think id flower under them though.
