question on lights(flowering)

ok, important question for our experts. funds are tight, trying to do what i gotta do...i got some babygirls in flowering (2nd week). i have t-12 48" 40 watt floro's at 12/12 right now. i just got a 500 watt cfl...i know this would be good for vegging, but will it help my flowering on a 12 hour cycle? thanx.

All the lights you can muster will be good. Some people I've seen have even thrown in an incandesant or two for the color spectrum that it gives (possibly red). You said you have a 500 watt flouro!? Very nice indeed! That will do very well for flowering. Just try to spread the light around. If you've got some smaller flouros you can put around your grow spot, that would be great. Flouros work for flowering, but are just not the best as seen in HID lighting and such.

Sounds like you got some good lighting. Always remember this: The more the better.
