IS pruning a must?

NO!In fact i like to just let the plants leaves to fall of themselves,if fan leaves or stems are getting in the way in some way then tie them but try NOT to prune,ESPECIALLY FAN LEAVES,these are your solar panels that soak up the light and in turn transforms the energy into sugar which feeds all over your plants.(photosynthesis)

Its a common myth that shining your lights on your buds dankens them,in fact its the fan leaves that will danken your buds, try never to cut anything from your plant unles it is an actual cutting you are going to use for cloning.Other than that you can always tie stems in different directions and LST(low stress trining),other than this just let leaves ,ect fall of naturally.

Of course if you see leaves that look 'ill' or dying then yes cut them cos they will only use up valuable energy but if all is well....well ya know what they say,if it aint broke dont fix it.Happy Growing:joint:

I usually will prune the lowest branches that are not going to produce anything other than popcorn. I am not sure if this is what you are refering to,but selective pruning to me is a very effective way of maximizing you space, and plant potential. It will also depend on your growing medium as to how much pruning will become necessary. With my soil grows I did very little, when I switched to Dwc I had to do alot.

Yes pruning the flowering branches is ok IMO as well as dead/dying fan leaves but I would never prune live plant matter just to. The popcorn buds I use for hash.

Unless the leaf is 3/4 affected then "leaf":p it alone.

Stunzeed..
