Ok, I had 2 12v cpu fans wired up to 12v adapters they ran good...for a while. I left to go work for 2 hours came back and the adaptes had melted. The fans still work though. I have no idea why they would do that, a heat issue, how long can u leave those fans on for? I need help cause that was my intake and exhaust, i have a big *** fan on them right now but its a little too much for them. Any input is really appriciated.

What's the adapter from? Some are limited to really low amount of watts.. it should say the limit on the adapter.

I don't let anything run for 24/7, the equipment SHOULD last longer, since it has some time to cool down everyday.

Well we have been running ours 24/7 since they were purchased over a year ago and they are still running strong. ;)

Your power adapter was to small as Bubby said.

Yep, you need to match the fan with a suitable adaptor. As well as voltage amperage should match too.
