where do the points come from i am confused. how do i give some body a point? mario brothers?

You get points for Rep to reward those with "useful posts". Rep comes from the scale at the bottom left of the posts. Is it still there??? LOL i'm gunna have to check now. Its been a while since i used it.

Not sure if "thanks" gives you points or not???

Hey jj. At the bottom of your post so you see your green dot on the left hand corner? Just next to it is a scale-looking thing. Click on it and then you can give reputation to people resulting in those little green boxes. Or give people thanks with the thumbs up.
