So, these were planted approximately 3 weeks ago. Germination went smooth, they sprouted ok and we were seeing good results. A few things have happened since then.

1) I replaced our 400 W bulb with a 600 W and placed it too close, burning them. I moved it away after I realized this, but some damage was already done.

2) We replanted them in Fox Farm soil.

For the last week or so the plants do not appear to have grown at all. We did notice the temperature was too high and have since taken measures to cool the grow area down. I'm wondering if I should clip off *any* leaves that look bad. Some of the plants are goners for sure, but I'm hoping someone might be able to take a look at these pictures and provide some insight into what's going on and how I might fix it for the ones who have a chance.

Thanks folks.

Looks like some heat stress but it also looks nute burnt, are you using any nutes?
What are your temps?
How far away is your light?

Keep the leaves on there man. Give them a drink of h20 with the pH adjusted, keep the temps in the 70s and you should see positive results.

They're just a bit stressed after the burn and change of home. A bit of TLC and you should see new growth in no time.

dont touch any leaves..

let them dry, brown out, and fall off by themselves.

The plants is actualy pulling what it needs out the leaves.

Keep them watered, and some air circulation. they'll start growing
like weed (no pun intended)

Thanks for the input from everyone. It's appreciated!

We are having difficulties keeping the temp below the low 80's because of where the grow area is. We've been pretty religious about opening the doors putting extra fans in there etc...but it's been really hard to get the temp down to 70.

Answers to questions...

1) I thought there might be nute burn. We moved the plants to the soil, and have not put any nutes in since. The guy at the store said to not use any nutes for 15-30 days because the fox farm soil already has everything it needs.

2) We have played with the distance of the light and I'm not really sure how far away it should be to be honest. Right now it's probably ~2-2 1/2 feet above them. I originally had it as close as the 400 W bulb (~1 foot) and that's how I burned them. I've been doing the "hand test" and the temp feels comfortable but I'm a bit worried it's now too far away.

Thanks again for the feedback. I won't prune any more dead leaves... :)

well ventilation will definatly be helpful, 16-18inchs away with that kinda power, the leaves curling up are reaching for light, drop it a bit
