hi, looking for some advice.planning on doing some gardening in a little camoflaged plot at this northerly latitude way up in north of the uk. trouble is this swazi skunk is a sativa type which i think is more used to growing near the equator. I,m a bit worried that when i plant out that my plants will end up about 20 feet high and then will get hit by the frost before they flower. Any suggestions about what i should do. PS in june up here there is about 20 hours of daylight per day, pps already started with this variety and cant change this year.

20 feet tall no dont belive they would get that tall and the plants will sence when it starts getting less light and then will begin to flower and flowering time has alot to do with the strain some strains flower early some late i dont live in the uk so my knowlege isnt to great about that area when do you usually get the 1st frost??

"57 N"...is waay up there. I doubt anything with a sat' influence will finish, naturally, outdoors in that area.
What you "might" be able to do, is keep them/it under 24/0 indoors untill just a couple of weeks before the summer solctice (June 21), placeing them directly out, into a shortened light period of 8 hrs. or so, "could" induce flowering early enough to get you some buds by last freeze. Which I would "guess" to be around mid-september at that latitude.

hi, thanks for the replies.Although up here we are on about the same latitude as parts of alaska it doesn,t really get frosty until late november
We get 15 hours of light a day right up till september i seem to rememeber so i,l just keep my fingers crossed and hope the skunk influence in the strain will help.
Got this plot where for 15 years the riding stables nearby used to dump their manure/horse manure/straw I,m gonna grow right on top of that. Maybe I,l try to bring them back inside to fininsh flowering with the light but they are gonna be so so big...

Hey Henri you might try increased topping to keep the plants smaller so you can move them inside if you need to. Or maybe try more topping on some of them so you can move part of them inside to flower if you need to. Slim
