I planted seeds like week and a half ago close to 2 and the plants like 5 inches tall, will the plants go threw flower mode outside? also they are behind a garage and I dont want the plants to get too tall, garage is about 10 ft high, I wanna keep the plants like 5-6ft high.
I live on the east coast so Spring time just started so when can I expect my crop to finish? and will I need any nutes for outdoor growing?

well depends south east cost or north east cost. usually around the first frost they'll finish.

and yeah they will most definately flower outside. The flowering stage is casued casue of mother nature. When the hours of day light get to 12/12 it'll start to flower because that tells it winter is coming. being as they're a year plant, they try to thrive to finish their final crop which would be marijuana.

search for the daylight hours of your area and it'll tell you what month and day it becomes 12/12 and then you can expect it to flower then.

now the height is dependant on strain, sativas grow tall, indicas stay shorter. if it gets to tall you can tie the plant down, i forgot what it's called, someone will fill you in on that one.

so if I plan to veg and flower outside and i started 1st of April (you can say)
when can I expect harvest?

it depends on what type of plant you have. when it has alternating nodes it'll be mature enough to flower, then when the light cycle is right for the plants (12/12 in most cases) then it will begin to flower. Indica type plants usually take 6-8 weeks for full maturity. sativa takes 10-14 weeks. So you tell me how long.

yup, october is the usual time for around your area. Usually around the first frost is when the plant will be about ready to harvest.

I have grown in WV for many years and my ladies usually finish up at the end of september to mid october. They will be huge if they have good growing conditions so you may want to consider LST or topping to keep your plants short and bushy. Just my thoughts. Take care and be safe.

Va Is a nice place to grow it has the perfect weather for it i used to live there in 1998 but im from SC and it is alot more humid there so id say that dewayne and banjo is right about that it takes alot of time to get em going good so give it awhile and u should find some interesting results just be carefull of the heat iv seen alot of plants die from the heat out there so keep it up for 6-14weeks and let us know the results

i'll definately keep yall updated..mid oct thou damn thats a while to wait..almost a half of year got damn..

It does take a while my friend. Patience is key to growing mj. You will be well rewarded in the end though. When you can sit back in your favorite chair and twist up a nice fattie of your own homegrown, turn on the radio and blaze with a good friend or signifigant other....it doesn't get much better than that. Just my thoughts. Take care and be safe.

yup, outdoors it'll take a whileto grow, i start mine in late feb and they go to october so yeah.

Every minute of work is work it though. The rewards that you reap in the end make it very worthwile. Take care and be safe.

Here's a good example of what you can do if they get too big.

cool if thats the case all I need is like 2 females cause all I really want is like a pound of treez.. a lil lst will definately be used to reduce growth but have the same amount of quanity..

If I can achieve this kind of grow all I need is 1 plant LOL:D

That is one hell of a bush you have there my friend! Looks like she kinda needs a dose of nitrogen but I'm amazed at how many tops she has. Great work there my friend. Definitely some rep comin your way. Keep us posted on the outdoor. Take care and be safe.
