Hey Ray Jay
I use Gardeners Gold exclusively, and it's worked great for me every time.
I usually buy the big bag, and mix in two pounds of worm castings.
It holds moisture wonderfully, and no matter how much chemical ferts and tap water I throw in it, the pH never tops 7. I would give it two thumbs up for sure.

Why would you use CHEMICAL ferts in it?

hahaha cuz it's cheap easy, and doesn't make my little closet stink like dead fish.

You're killing the point of using ORGANIC soil by throwing CHEMICALS in it. Use one or other....all 100% organic or a chemical grow.

organic if done correctly can & will surpass chem ferts anyday & no fish smell. u dont have 2 use emulsion there r ways around it. chem ferts are by far not cheaper than organic ammendments, but to each his own

Can I put seeds in this soil as soon as they crack?
