OK, so I'm new at all this and have a friend that has been helping me. but the bad part is he is very bad at telling me what he is doing and what all the stuff is. i want to be able to use my room without his help at this point, he is kinda being a **** but i will not get into that right now. so i kinda know what i have but don't know the proper names for all the stuff so feel free to tell me.
also i don't use the internet at the grow site for safty so i can't just look in the other room right now for names of things.

*lightite thermal protected reflective wall liner on walls of room
*closed 12x6x7 foot "Panda film" tent
*6x 5 gal buckets for deep water culture linked with 2 inch hose back to a 10 gal reservoir
*volcanic clay beads(?)
*big *** carbon filter(?)
*1000 watt electronic ballast(?)
*light mover(?)
*6" super sun 2 closed reflector with duct work going from carbon filter through lamp then out to attic
*1000 watt light(?)
*yoyos :)
*co2 tank set to relese every 15 min(?)

i know I'm forgetting stuff but that's why i want to learn. I will check what brand everything is and update tomorrow

For one you will need 2 1000w HPS lamps in that space. CO2 should be monitored with a CO2 controller not just placed on a timer. CO2 is toxic to humans and plants, unless you have a way to monitor ppm's you are asking for trouble. Why if you are running CO2 would you cool the lamp with a carbon scrubber from in the room. The fan cooling the lamp should be completely independent of the intake and exhaust, and the air pulled through the reflector should never touch the room. Sounds to me your buddy is full of dookie and is setting you up for failure.

sorry i forgot to mention that the carbon filter is outside the tent. the light case in sealed too. the whole thing is sealed nice and tight. I also have a co2 regulator(?) on the tank. i think it knows ppm but not too sure.

as for light. after things started getting bigger i noticed it didn't seem to be hitting everything the same so we got a light mover. would i still need more light or would the moving kinda counter act that? It's very hot in phoenix so keeping things cool is a big concern to me. I have been keeping the temp at 73 but the A/C is on and i don't know how much i can push it. The summer is just starting and is going to get much hotter in the coming months. 120 outside in july! I have also been rotating frozen jugs of water in the reservoir every day to try to keep things cool.

i will try and take some pics tonight after the lights kick on. i have a light cycle of 8pm to 8am right now. night is better for the heat aspect.
