New and planning to grow

Hello everyone,

Found the place from a simple Google search and I'm glad I found it.

I'm from Ontario, Canada. From a really small town with a population of about 2,500. I've been smoking since I was in high school and have never been too serious about it, but just recently I've become frustrated with how the weed and price is where I am so I'm planning on growing my own in possibly two months time (no defininitive date yet) and have come here to learn all I can.

When I was in high school, we used to pay $20/gram. It wasn't that bad because I never bought too much and we just put all our cash together and bought what we could. I'm out of high school now and get it for about $10-$12/gram which isn't too bad, but most of the time the weed isn't very good.

I don't have too many questions right now, but I do have a few I'm hoping you could help me with. Where is the best place to buy seeds? I want a really nice strain that's easy to grow, but I don't want a visit from the police for buying seeds from the internet. Any recommendations?

I ran out of money and weed a few weeks ago and won't be getting money until I start work in July, but hopefully I'll come into some before then. Sad part is; I didn't even get baked for 4:20! :fid: 4:20 was the first time I ever got high though! :joint4:

Since you live in Canada i would try and get some from a bank in Canada. :aok: Peakseedsbc.com has some great beans and prices.

it sounds like you might be best off using seedboutique.com or nirvana-shop.com (i'm pretty sure they deliver to canada but you might wanna check) anyways,pick a strain and google it,you definitly want one that will be an "easy" to grow strain .if you need a nice cheap light check out insidesun.com,they have a 400 watt hps with ballast for $99.also,check around in here to see what people are using for nutrients,then you can pick which ones you want to use,just remember one thing when starting to use your nutes,always start at 1/4 strength and work your way up to the suggested ratio.anyways,welcome to the site.you've came to the right place.theres alot of very nice respectable growers in here and if you just take in a little from everypost you read,that knowledge will go a long way.
I know the feeling or paying 20 for a gram and its not a good feeling.i smoke blunts so i'd smoke a $20 in one smoke session.anyways,be safe,good luck, and hopefully you wont have to pay them rediculous prices much longer. (not only that but theres no better feeling than to be smoking some buds that you grew yourself.its a feeling like no other.besides prices,its what keeps everybody in here goin....its the passion

Thanks for the welcome TBG and the link, I'll definitely read up as much as I can. I actually was checking out Pearkseedsbc last night and I will probably go with them. Unfortunate that they don't have a large variety to choose from, but I'm sure I'll make do.

G_48911, I smoke a lot too. When I was working I spent about $80-$100 a week, but I didn't smoke it all myself.
