need some topping/pruning tips

first time on so go easy on me.can someone tell me when to top my plants? this is my first grow and i thought this site would be a good source of info. my plants have 7 and 8 nodes but are only 6in. tall. i also have to keep in mind that my cabinet is small so i'll have to flower my plants early. i included several pics please let me know, all advice welcome!

one more thing should i remove some of the larger fan leaves?

Now as for your questions:
1. Never remove fan leaves, they are the energy stores of your plants.

2. You could top the plants now. Any time after node 4 is ok depending on overall height. Use the tops as clones, for your next grow.

Personally I would wait a bit longer as that plant is still tiny but whatever floats your boat

You can top anytime, but if you top when the plant is really small the plant will grow into a V-shape and might not be stable/balanced, and may droop over later on.

I would wait until the 7th node when the plant is approx. 8-12 inches tall. Then the main stem will be stronger to support the plant and continue to grow itself, as well as from the two new points that start at the topped point.
