i am planning on growning 10 xxx-420 plants out side this summer in some woods a cleared down 4 trees and made a clearing for light i dug 10 holes and i was wondering if i could use the same dirt that i dug up if i mix a little fox farm soils in them with some of those white peices for dramaged and airaction and then i bought the fox farm grow big and blossom builder and organic solution with the 3 open sesime and beasty bloomz and cha ching and i plan of following the feeding guide and switch over twice a week water once with water then the next time with the nutrients solution does this sound like i will be able to grow good bud any other advisde

You would grow better bud if you used all fox farms soil. I always dig my holes and line the inside of the holes with plastic. The plastic will keep other roots out of your good soil and the mj roots in the good soil. I also cut holes in the bottom of the plastic to allow excess water to drain out. Any fox farms nutes are good stuff. I would start off at like 1/4 strength and work your way up from there. Hope this helps. Keep us posted. Take care and be safe.

FF is good stuff, but if the native soil is "good" dirt, no reason that you can't cut the FF with it.(stretch those dollars a li'l bit ;)) I would use at least 50% FF though.
"Those little white pieces" are perlite. I usually add 10-15% to my FF, but outdoors, with ammended native soil, "I" would cut it 25-30%.

Does it look like good dirt? Is it black or brown? Does it contain a lot of clay or sand? Take a handful and see if it clumps together like a snowball. Does it stay clumped up like a ball or does it fall apart? These are all factors that determine how good the soil is. Hick had a good idea. Make it 50/50 if you are short on funds. If you can afford it, I would go all FF though. Just my thoughts. Take care and be safe.

..another relatively good indication of soil quality is the surrounding fauna, "what's growing there now". If it's growing other lush vegetation, it likely has 'some' good qualities.

^^ True true Hick. Keep us posted on your progress. Take care and be safe.

BTW, what is "10 xxx-420"?? The hell does that mean????

xxx-420 is the name of the strain im am growing i got the seeds form a seed bank. so where i live fox farm is like 20 bucks for a bag does any one know anyother soil that is just as good for cheaper

FF is 20 bones i my area too.. :(... but I pay it.
"Black Gold", I can give my personal thumbs up to, and "Pro-mix" gas a very good reputation.
As is soooo often the case, "You get what you pay for..."
