need a bit of help

hey ppl,

me and a friend started sum plants up and need a bit of help

i was wondering if anybody would want to help me i will be posting pics i have 2 seedlings of cyber crystal from KC Brains

im not sure on the lights i have my buddy said they would work there 2 flood lights no info on them i have a 10.0 uvb light

me and him want good stuff for this project as it will be the starting point of our careers i apreciate any help from anybody my msn is available thx

alright first off depending on the flood light it prob wont work because most flood lights dont put out what the plant needs. I reccomend for a cheap way of vegging your plants use either floros or cfl's. You could also use mh but there a bit more expensive and not nesesary in my opinion. And after that when you enter your flowering stage i highly reccomend using a high pressure sodium bulb....floros wont cut it and cfls wont produce graet high quality buds that a hps would....thats the quick info on lighting.

wellcome to the site buddy, yeah them lights enless they are CFL's wich i got 1 150watt cfl flood light, over my babbys. well ask arould lots of experts to help, sure helped this rookie now i have a closet i can be proud of.

yeah, but mine are not your evey day house hold use bulbs. the highest usly u can get at a reg store is a 40 watt, (40 tru watts not an equiv) mine are 85 watt's putting out over 4000 lums. thies have a self ballist on them. they don't need a special fixtur to run thies lights, u can plug them in anykind of light socket........now on that note u all so need to look at the color of the light, your reg house holds are maily warm white light, this type is very high in red's wich are ok for flowering, but u need that blue light, that u get with "day light color" that is the color u wanna go for in the veggie stage that u are in. my best help i could be would be to go to a hydro grow shop. (if one in your area) or go on line an order u some CFL's. check out the garden shop part in the forms thers quite a few with good links to lights an growing needs, as far as flowering your plants u should go with the 20 dollor HPS. go to the lighting part of the florm theres a link in there for it.

lol i had 2 seedlings sprouted one died last nite grrr i told my buddy we needed diff lights gonna hopefully be grabbing sum shishkaberry X buddah seeds today ill get the lights before i do anything more thx for ur help budd ill be posting updates and pics of previous high quality buds and be posting my amazing collection of pipes n ****

nice brother, don't stress, yeah its going to take a little big of money to do it right. if u take your time an shop around u will spend less, so just take it easy. if u can't do online shoping, go to homedepot, get u 2 150 watt cfl flood light basllests, for 40 bucks each, an wire them up to a 3 prong plug.
don't skip on the light, i can make or brake your grow bro.

Halogen is not recommended.
MH is used for vegetative cycle(blue spectrum)

HPS is recommended for flowering(yellow-red spectrum)

There is a kelvin rating for each spectrum-don't have it right in front of me.
If you use cfl's, they usually have the Kelvin Rating on them.
With certain brands of cfl's, they will be in a red box or a blue box-but not always.
You could use the cfl's for veg cycle, but an HPS works better for flowering.
