my first grow

hey wassup everyone i started in late aug. and have been using cfl 23 watts 1 light for each plant i have 3 tell me wat u think

Well welcome to MP...to be completely honest I think you need a lot more light...those hve been growing since August? When you flip them to flower you will be very disappointed with the buds you grow unless you address your lighting deficiencies....how big is your grow area? You need 3000 lumens a sqr foot for veg and 5000 a sqr foot for flowering...looking at your pics it is easy to tell you don't hve enough lumens...

yes you seriously need some proper lighting to get good results saying that if you bend the plants over/tie them down with string or whatever and get your lights closer to the plants this will be better than how they are and btw for your 1st time grow ya doing ok fella.

well my grow area is 2.5 ft by 1.5 ......and with lighting im starting to notice the i am gunna need more and im glad i found this site becuz it really help me out with a bunch of thing i think imma go wit a hps becuz cant it do veg and bloom i believe i read that here....... has ne one converted from soil to hydroponics or shoould i just grow this crop out and start fresh wit hydro

Bro...hydro is very unforgiving....I wld stick with soil and read as much as you can....then when you hve a strong grasp of things maybe try hydro....

ight i have a question if i wanna goto home depo and get some t12 setup wat do i get a 100 watt bulb or should i go higher and ty by the way for the advice ur guiding me in the right direction

I know nothing about t12's or any other t's...I use cfl's to veg seedlings then MH to veg and HPS to flower...

i c so i guess imma have to just drop the $200 for a hps then but i dont want to put them in flower till i get the right light u have ne quick fixes i can do till a month or so so i can get the hps i guess ill have to find the biggest cfl i can and use a few of those .....i wish i found this site b4 i started so i can be on the right track at the beginning now im have way through it and it feels like i have to start over but ill learn from my mistakes

You can achieve a decent yield with nothing but cfls if you hve enough of them...not sure what your best next move wld be...you clf flip them to 12/12 and veg with what you hve and you will wind up with some pathetic buds...you cld get a cpl more cfl's and add them to your lights and flip them...you cld buy an HPS setup and flower them out.

Bottom line is if you want to do it right then that involves some costs...you need adequate lighting, Ventilation (both intake and exhaust you want to exchange the air in your grow area), and nutrients...those are the most costliest to do it correctly... You can skimp on any one or all of these but it will affect your harvest...

ty for the info man i just added 2 more cfl now i got 5 cfl wit 1600 lumens per bulb 2morrow im goin light shoppin and for ventalation its not really inclosed its in a closet its pretty much same temp and circulation as the house ......so if i get the hps i should kick the right into bloom the 12/12 lighting ?...... and if i just have to get more cfl should i keep them in veg or kick them right into 12 /12

If I were you I wld just flower them out over vegging them even longer...just because i wld want to get this grow over and start again with a better understanding of the basics..and you can get that here very easily...read through this>>>http://www.marijuanapassion.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9396

But since you put in this much time you might want to try and flower them out and see what kinda bud you can get out of it...if nothing else it will be good practice for your next run...if you can afford the HPS right now get one but if not just add some more cfl's get some ventilation going and flip them...do you even know if they are female? If they hve been vegging since August I wld think they are showing gender....
