might be heat stress

Okay so I got these from a friend of a friend 3 days ago. They are clones from their current setup. They looked a bit wilted the night I got them but they had been transported yada yada. I transplanted them from 16oz cups into their current containers trying to be very careful with them. The soil is cocoblend black gold and light is a 650watt mh. I have given them a gallon of spring water with just about 2 drops of superthrive in it over the past 3 days spread out between the four plants. Lights are at 18/6 and am trying to keep temps around 80/85 as much as possible since this is a new homade growbox.

Thanks in advance

Looks like either heat stress or that superthrive you gave them. ;)

i thought superthrive was supposed to be good for them? I am new to this so help is much appreciated. i did pay for the starts so i really hope i can get them to survive.

im not best at clones but IMO i wouldnt give them any nutes to start , sounds like its that , also that 18/6 dont sound right for clonies but like i said clones arent my speciality

Do you have sticks in them to keep them up right , that might help :)

If you put your hand right on top of your plants does the back of it feel hot from the light?

wassup tbg , hey 1timer since your unsure about stuff dont do what i did once & put them in direct sunlight xD

i have done the hand test and i dont think it is too hot on them by that method. there is glass under the hood near the light and the two 5" openings on the ends of the hood. the blue thing is my home made carbon filter with a 6" 250cfm fan hooked up to a adjustable thermostat. if I keep the doors completly closed the temps can get to near 90 even with the fan on so i have been leaving it cracked for good air flow and daytime temps are in the mid 80's with night temps in the low 70's. also water being used is distilled water from the store. tomorrow im gonna make a vent in lower part for intake so i hopefully dont have to leave door cracked.

I would say it's your temps then. After i looked at your plants again that's what it looks like. Try and get them temps down if ya can.

I'd say its the heat for sure. I had the same problem where the temp would go up even a little past 90. I got 2 fans goin on them and left the door open. the temp is about 75-80 now and the plants bounced back nice. I would recommend that. also, what kind of nutes are you giving them?

so far nothing but superthrive. i put my hand over the tops of the plants and can hardly feel any heat at all. so i dont think it is the light itself, the only thing i can think is that it is the over all heat. this morning the one that looked the best is starting to have leaves curl up.

I can tell you just from looking at your box set up that they are being over heated. That is 1 small box my friend. That heat will build up and burn the leaves and dry out the soil rapidly.

Do you have a fan on them....I could not see one in the pic?

And I can tell you that the box is way too small to mature those 4 plants. Unless you do a micro grow?

Just wondering? What are the measurements of your box....Just in case my sense of picture depth is off?
