These plants are 4 weeks and 5 weeks old. The topped and tied down are 4, the tied down only are 5. I topped the two because they grow tall, the other two are shorter strains. Now the budding limbs are getting tall. Horizontally and vertically. Do i tie those down too? Ive tried some Horizontal lst but it ends up shading out the neighboring buds. The plants seem to be stacking on nice buds but I don't want to screw up. Heres the pictures. I dont want to tie a budding branch down and end up harming the plant. Im not hurting too much for vertical space but hope they stop growing too much taller. They're auto flowers. 5 gallon containers and i did a pretty heavy defoiliation too trying to get more light penetration. Any advice is most welcome.

I know it's a late reply in the post but I would have left them as is .

Holy Moly! Those are gorgeous! You got tell us what the smoke is like, please.

Ive done a test run and its dangerous lol
You can buy directly from this guy here in the USA. Hes becoming a legend, literally. Rocbudinc.com is the address. 5 dollars shipping and lots of freebies. 60 dollars will net you 6-10 seeds shipped

I decreased the lights to 12/12 because it looked like one of my plants was still vegging. For an auto it was getting very tall.

Its a photo fem with insane crosses. Made using Platinum Punchv#1 ( Beleaf's cut) . This guys genetics are legit. He's not some random pollen chucker. When I know more I will post. Hes also dropping an auto ive been looking for called purple scoops. Everything is going down black friday. Not sure what time. My advice is log on about 10 minutes early. He tends to start sales early and his servers often crash. Due to the amount of people trying to buy his beans. He's becoming a legitimate legendary breeder.

" i did a pretty heavy defoliation too trying to get more light penetration. hmm i always get bemused by people thinking they can grow a plant better than the plant can grow itself. There is a reason why the plant grows lots of leaves and that is to grow lots of flowers- the more leaves you remove the less energy flowers receive. Its a no-brainer! To remove leaves is like taking away hands, or a mouth from a human, the leaves are a source of energy and continue to give/provide to the plant even when yellow and dying- at that stage they are transferring nutrients out of the leaf and stalk back into the flower. Read Robert Connel Clarkes PHD book "marijuana botany".

Once it is heavy into flower the buds themselves take it the sun energy just like a tomato plant. I trim all big leaves and only allow suger leaves after a certain point in flower. Im growing buds/fruit not leaves.
Try it if you dont believe me. You might be surprised.
Learned that from an old Rastafarian. Actually from someone who was taught that by a Rastafarian. He was very old and had been growing all his life.

I thin my plants before flower and after as needed. I learned to cut my nitrogen back at flower to help with the new leaf growth. This gives the flowers extra time for lighting. I go from 20 N down to 5N
