light problem

Just went to visit the girls, and on of my bulbs is just glowing really dim. What could be the problem? ballest go bad? Any answers would be great. Thanks in advance.

Well I would definantly unplug it until you figure out the problem.

Yes I did try a new bulb just glows dim also. Put bulb in other lamp works fine.

Well, sounds like you found the problem, might want to look into a digital ballast this time...

Thanks guys it turned out to be the capacitor. Thay saved me a easy $120.

Nice job Ray Jay!! Not alot to those ballast actually. MH ballast ,really only the capacitor. HPS has a starter(igniter) and a capacitor that cud fault. Other problems being connections, doubtful the core in either to fault. Agin good job. I'm not sure of a digital ballast, don't have one, they llok nice but may have more areas that can fail
