Light Design - Is It Appropriate

The big circles are 30W CFLs, the red dots are the string entrances for ropes to set the angle of reflector plates. The gray dotes are the string entrances for ropes to set reflector height.

This is my current design, what do you suggest? Should I change where CFLs are? Change system to hang my reflector?

1650 lumens each. My effective growth area will be 4~ feet².

are you gonna use these light to flower or veg? or both. if flowering i would add alot more cfls. if you don't get enough light your buds will be fluffy and dense. 9900 lumens isn't near enough with the sqf your growing in. you said its 4 foot squared right thats 16 sqf. if my math is right. most likely not.. your gonna need alot more light if your gonna use this for flowering.

I just changed all my cfls to the 42 watters and i use 15 of them in 4 sqf. thats 40500 lumens. the ladies like it so far.. i just started adding a new light every time i had a few dollars to spare.. i hope this helps good luck

I would take slowmo77's advice, you should check out his last grow with cfls, imresive!. I personaly dont use them, and never had thought they would work good enough to be satified. After slowmo had showd me his grow with cfls, i now have a new opinion on them. Good luck and keep us posted with some pic's! Peace and Love!!!!!!!!!

Where should I add new CFLs on the system?

My grow space is like 2.6x1.5, I will drill holes and make way for two more bulbs and as soon as I get more cash, I will add more bulbs, probably not on reflector but on the sides of grow room.

I will use that space for vegetative grow, I will build another space for flowering and a very small shelf for seedlings & clones.

Thank you for the advice. I will make a step by step tutorial by tomorrow. People who does not have access to fine reflectors or have problems with cash may find it useful.

are you gonna try to flower with an HPS or cfls? as far as adding to the board you've designed i would move the single hole closer to the two holes already shown and add at least 2 more cfls per side. and try to use the 42watt bulbs, same space more light and only a few dollars more per bulb.
