Hi guys,

We are trying to use our trimmed leaves for making cannibutter. We have a LOT of leaves and I was wondering the best way to dry them for butter?

Currently they are in the pantry on a shelf lined with a towel.

Do I just need to dry them or do they need to cure for butter?

You will need to decarboxolate them (decarb) at 250 degrees for 25-30 min. That means you put the trim in the oven in a glass baking dish with foil over it. After the timer goes off leave the foil on till cool. then go ahead and do your butter. They don't need a cure I don't think.

I would only use the smaller sugar leaves that have visible trichs on them. The larger fan leaves are not really worth saving and using as they have virtually no cannabinoids to extract. They can go into the compost pile. I really recommend using only good quality trim or bud for edibles and extracts.
