I know this question may bepend heavily upon variety but as that information is not available to me i need some general advice from someone who may live close to me. I was given an outdoor seedling in a bucket probably in the begining of august. The plant is a healthy female, however; it is only about a foot and a half tall and started to bud up early in its development since it didn't have the daylight hours to veg out. To me it looks like it will just yeild a very very small amount, which is fine, i just wanted to know how much longer i have in this area to let her go before harvest. I will need as much time with this one as i can be alotted.

Thank You,

Well, you can't let it go past the first frost. I don't think so anyway. Now, it might be finished before the growing season in your neighborhood is over. What you need to do is look at the pistils and wait until they turn about 75%-80& brown, red, etc. before picking your bud. This is a pretty good way of determining ripeness for many varieties of MJ, but doesn't necessarily hold true for all pot. The best way of determining the ripeness of your bud is to look at the trichomes. Do a search on this site for trichomes, harvest, microscope etc., and you should find the information you need.
