Good night, Misfits. I hope everybody had a good Thanksgiving and got to spend some time with their loved ones.
Did they figure out what is causing her heart failure?Just had some breakfast - scrambled eggs, an English muffin and some grapes. I don't have much of an appetite, I guess all of the worrying has me messed up. She is showing improvements, it's just going to take time
This is awesome
One of the nurses read some notes in the computer and said she has pneumonia, which created fluids on her lungs and heart. She is on antibiotics and her white blood cell count is getting better. And, one of the new cardiac medicines caused her blood pressure to drop way low last night. Looks like it's gonna be a long, slow recovery processDid they figure out what is causing her heart failure?
You know, it's not really clear what caused what. She has several things going on, including her diabetes. Pneumonia, heart failure - I think they are still trying to figure out exactly what happened. I will update when I learn anything new. Thank you for the well wishes! So she doesn't have heart failure. It was the pneumonia that caused the problem?
Or the heart failure caused the fluid to build up in her lungs and caused the Pneumonia?
Hope she gets to feeling better soon.
Yeah, I wish I had a better understanding of what happened. And I wonder if they really know. It is very stressful trying to figure it out, trying to learn about her new medications and keeping a watchful eye on all of it. I have been praying ceaselessly, and I try to make her as comfortable as possible. She is sleeping right now, so I am going to get something to eat from the cafeteriaNo problem brother. Just curious on how it happened. Normally heart failure is a progressive disease and the doctors pick up on it before it gets to that bad.
