Speaking of pot 😊 So I was checking on my little pharmacy today I occasionally open all the jars for a little sniff and to check the humidity in the jars. I saw my personal stash of three quart jars of girlcrush I keep in the back row there where nobody knows but me they are back there. When I opened them up, the tops blasted off into my hand. I guess the Co2 built up and I haven’t opened them in a while. How long do those that store in jars long term keep them in before burping them, like once a month? I never had this happen before but that girl crush is some high octane. I probably open them every 4-6 weeks or so
OMIGAWD. It is another world out there, Unca. Try, try to imagine it:

A world of beautiful flowers everywhere you look. Even in dark remote recesses. (*gasp*)
But lo! Look there, bonnie lad! As you push your way through the jungle of aromatic blossoms, each with its own perfect fragrance...

What do you see?? Can it be? The most potent bloom in Creation ready to explode with overwhelming scent?

"ENDLESS FLOWERS ALL AROUND ME."

BBBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZTT!! Wake up, Unca. You are as high as a pigeon on a statue.

Damn' good thing you invented the "Breather-bag 70 Visible Exhales Per Single Inhale With Instant Weed Pipe Shutdown" technique.

I store my material being cured in the basement, where it stays cool, and burp at least weekly until its cured. Once cured, I don't have a burp schedule, and after you just reminded me, I checked a forgotten jar from two years ago and it had no pressure.

Mold or decomposition both produce distinctive smells, so if your jar still smells sweet, the pressure was most likely due to CO2, temperature differences, VOC's from the terpenes, or combinations of all-of-the-above.

good morning

nice rain last night , we needed it , grasses are burned up and crunchy to walk on

so yeah , the moisture helped

the low pressure system that arrived is trying to do a number on my noggin so we are in defcon5 defense

Part 1 …..moar coffee!

Yes it’s easy to forget them after they are cured. I do check them but don’t have a set schedule. My weed closet is in the house in a cabinet so the temps are the same as my house. Just never seen the co2 buildup until now strong enough to pop the top off when I removed the ring. May have something to do with the strain too as the girlcrush was a super gassy weed during trim/dry and cure. Still smells pretty awesome after I guess almost a year.

The mono and sesquiterpenes are what gives cannabis strains their distinctive odors and are all VOC's (alcohols, ethers, ketones, aldehydes, et al). From your description, they sound like the most likely culprit.

Was it perhaps Girls Night out ?
You know how Girls are busting to get out on that night.
LOL
Never saw a CO2 build up blow the top before.

Good morning peoples. Subbie, that girl crush is some crazy weed isn’t it… it makes my eyes tear…
Yes that’s my personal stash I break out when Mr Subbie is gone for a few hours and I’m smoking alone. I fill up the volcano bag which he isn’t into but I love. Yes it’s some of my top shelf with its own special high.

Me neither. I’m thinking it was the weed itself that caused it. It still smells crazy good and I think just needed a breath of fresh air.

Well knowing the member where it originated from, I would imagine it would be the same if he was trapped in a Mason Jar so long and you opened it.

The ones I have came from a armory and had a bayonet cleaning stuff a sling .
What they would give a soldier packed in cosmo lene.
I bought them 16years ago or so
I scored enough high-power tournament points to buy a Winchester Garand from DCM for $129 and it came soaked in cosmolene.

I sent it to my tournament rifle builder, who re-barreled and accurized it, but the furniture was ugly and darkened with cosmolene, so he replaced it with the wood from another junk rifle with a pretty stock.
