Just wondered if this seems up to the job by those in the know.

Just thought if it both de humidify and cool then i'll buy it but thought i'd ask, make sure i not wasting my plastic ( money )

that should do a fine job NB money well spent !! JMHO !

Yeah man, i'm trying to think about preventing problems before they start cos this weather has already brought some nasty surprises :)

does that thing have a dehumidifier? - didnt see a water tank or continous drain hose. looks like a good AC tho. my dehumidifier removes 20 liter of water per hr, and i let it run 24/7. definetely essential during wet weather to prevent powdery mildew among other thing and also bcus my Co2 gen produces lots of water vapor. if you buy a combo make sure you can control the settings for each independently

Done some looking up on it, aparently it has a hose you stick out a window and three functions - cool, dehumidify and fan although carn't find out if they can be used at same time as each other

Thats odd that you cant use both functions at the same time because the dehumidifer produces lots of heat and will raise temps 1-4 degrees C. Cooler air does hold less moisture than warm air, but imo if you can only use one at a time it will be a big hassle.

I dont know if the dehumidifiers sold at hydro shops are different than the one you're looking at, but the one I bought for $250US also included a washable air filter and an activated carbon filter (didnt realize it even had these features until after I bought it) - just something to consider.

I said i couldn't find out if you can use both functions, if its normal for them to run both then i'm sure it will :).
Thanx

Bought it, love it ;)

cannopy temps of 80-85 easy with with a RH of 40-50 with two open 600w HPS in a 4 x 4.5 ft room and the plants love it.

Well worth the cash, i bet it pays for itself a few times in extra bud :)
